About Us
Animals have always been close to my heart. For all those who know me know it was inevitable that I would have a career with animals.
After College, I decided to travel, which has always been driven by what animals I can see and fundamentally work with. I have volunteered in a Wildlife and Rehabilitation Sanctuary in Namibia, and Imire Rhino and Elephant Convervancy in Zimbabwe. I have lived in Australia for a year working for the RSPCA and Australia Zoo.
From all of those experiences I decided to go into Veterinary Nursing as all I’ve ever wanted to do was help animals and their owners. I have worked in the veterinary industry now for over seven years, qualified top of my class in 2019, and still freelance with a few veterinary practices. This allows me to keep up to date with my skills and knowledge, and further my nursing ability. I am registered with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, a member of ISFM and the BVNA, and fear free certified. I also have an Oral Health Certification through the British Veterinary Nurse Association, which will allow me to assess and advise what’s best for your pet’s teeth.
I obtained a Level 3 Professional Dog Grooming Diploma at GroomArts Academy and have been grooming for the past 4 years. Since then I have advanced my skills and knowledge through training with Pammie Carmichael Hogg and Costin Stoica. The fear free certification, further enhances any pet’s experience during the grooming process in addition to our force free approach. Here at The Grooming Nurse, me and my team are confident in handling most breeds, and have expeirence in not just grooming but ensuring your pet is relaxed and at ease throughout.
I believe in giving honest, realistic advice to pet owners that is both practical and helpful, alongside tackling pet obesity and managing dental hygiene. I get great satisfaction out of caring and providing fantastic nursing care to all animals as well as reassuring owners and providing a personal, friendly service and helping with any concerns.
